Myers has shown off strong leg during preseason

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With Josh Scobee now headed to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Jaguars are left with 24-year-old Jason Myers at kicker. Myers was signed by the Jaguars in March, after spending time with Arizona and San Jose of the Arena Football League in 2014.

Myers, 5-10, 180 spent four years at Marist College where he made 24 of 38 field goal attempts.

Through three preseason games Myers has connected on 4-of-5 field goals, with a long of 55-yards.

He also has a strong leg averaging 66.4 yards on kickoffs, including four touchbacks. 

During training camp Myers routinely made field goals from more than 50 or 60 yards. For more evidence of Myers strong leg, check out this 70-yard field goal.
