JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars signed 2014 seventh-round draft pick running back Storm Johnson to a contract, the club announced today. Johnson, who played at The University of Central Florida, is the second of nine draft picks for the Jaguars to sign a contract.
Johnson's deal is worth about $2.28 million and includes a $62,000 signing bonus.

Johnson, 6-0, 216, finished his collegiate career with 335 carries for 1,765 yards and 19 touchdowns. His career included one season at Miami and his final two seasons at Central Florida before declaring for the draft following his junior season. He and Jaguars 2014 first round pick Blake Bortles led the Knights to a 12-1 record in 2013 and capped the season with a win over Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl. Johnson led the conference in 2013 with a career-high 1,139 yards on 213 carries with 14 touchdowns, earning first-team All-American Athletic Conference first-team honors.
The Loganville, Georgia native led Buford High School to back-to-back undefeated seasons. He rushed for 1,300 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior and concluded his career with a school-record 1,937 yards and 31 touchdowns. He was rated the seventh-best running back in the country by Rivals.com.
