JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars got a safety, a wide receiver and an extra draft pick on Day 3 of the 2015 NFL Draft.
In an effort to move up just one spot, the New York Jets swapped fourth-round picks with the Jaguars and threw in the 229th selection in the seventh round as well.

After the Jets drafted QB Bryce Petty, the Jaguars selected Louisville safety James Sample.
Sample is a 6 foot 2, 209 pound strong safety from Sacramento, California. He started his college career at the University of Washington, but only played five games in two seasons due to a shoulder injury. He spent a year at American River Junior College before coming to Louisville last season.
In his only season with the Cardinal, Sample totaled 90 tackles, 78 of them solo, along with four interceptions.
Sample is expected to compete with free agent signing Sergio Brown for the starting free safety position this season.
With the third selection of the fifth round, the Jaguars only had to look two and a half hours west for their guy.
Florida State wide receiver Rashad Greene is now a Jaguar.
The 5-foot, 11-inch Greene had 15 games of over 100 yards receiving in his Seminoles career. He caught 270 passes for 3,380 yards in four years with FSU, both are school records. Greene also caught 29 career touchdown passes.
In 2014, Greene caught a school record 99 passes and was a Biletnikoff semifinalist, All-American 2nd team, and an All-ACC first team selection.
With the Jaguars, you would have to think that he will fit right in as the slot receiver, joining Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee, and Allen Robinson in the receiving corps. Also, Greene can be the punt returner that the Jaguars are looking for. He scored two return touchdowns for FSU, both in 2012.
3:50 P.M.
In the sixth round, the Jaguars selected Michael Bennett, defensive tackle from Ohio State.
The 6-foot, 2-inch Bennett made 29 career starts for the Buckeyes, totaling 31.5 tackles for a loss and 18 sacks.
Bennett did not work out at the NFL Combine because of a hamstring injury.
5:15 P.M.
With their first of two picks in the seventh round, the Jaguars selected wide receiver Neal Sterling from Monmouth University.
As a firth-year senior, Sterling had 55 catches for 905 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Listed at 6'4" 235 pounds, Sterling gives the Jaguars another big bodied receiving threat.
5:31 P.M.
The Jaguars closed out their 2015 draft by taking tight end Ben Koyack from Notre Dame.
Koyack is a 6'5" 257 pound tight end who had 30 catches for 317 yards and two touchdowns in his final college season.
After the draft, both Dave Caldwell and Gus Bradley were very happy with the newest additions to the team.
"The first two days was getting Dante Fowler and T.J. Yeldon," Caldwell said. "We felt if we did that, everything after would be icing on the cake."
Gus Bradley said that you have to look at the offseason as a whole to determine if you had a good draft, "You have to look at the combination of free agency and the draft," Bradley said. "I felt like we added very good players. I'm very pleased with their mentality and how they will fit in the locker room."
Fans can see the 2015 class of rookies on Friday May 9th, and Saturday May 10th for rookie mini-camp. Both sessions begin at 1:10 P.M. and are open to the public.
