Jaguars rookies report to training camp

It felt like Christmas morning at Everbank Field as Jaguars rookies reported for their first training camp.
"I was tossing and turning last night," said linebacker Telvin Smith. "I couldn't sleep but then when I woke up I said 'Let me waste every second' because I know when I come I'm not going to want to leave or be able to leave. It's just a dream come true."
Of course, there's nothing quite like NFL training camp. The hours are long and the practices are grueling leading up to the start of the season.
"Just a little bit of nervous anticipation," said center Luke Bowanko. "But I'm pretty excited to be able to go out there and put the pads back on. It's been awhile and I'm excited to bump heads and get out there and play football again."
The veterans are not required to report until Thursday but that didn't stop veterans like Chad Henne, Cecil Shorts and Roy Miller from showing up early.
"I got back in town on Friday," said Shorts. "I just want to show my face and get a few workouts in here before we start up on Thursday."
The first day of training camp is on Friday with the first practice set for 9:55 a.m. The session is open to the public but fans need to pre-register at www.jaguars.com.
