Fifth-round draft pick Telvin Smith is the latest rookie to sign a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The standout linebacker from Florida State is the fifth of nine draft picks to ink a deal.
Smith appeared in 54 games with 15 starts for the Seminoles. He totaled 214 tackles, seven sacks and four fumble recoveries. Smith led FSU with 90 tackles with 9.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and two sacks in his senior season.
Gus Bradley and the Jaguars staff coached Smith when he was a member of the South squad in the 2014 Senior Bowl.
