The Union tied the game in the 29th minute on a Jack McInerney goal. The goal came about as the result of a rarely called penalty against the goal keeper for holding the ball more than six seconds. McInerney made the Red Bulls pay with a blistering shot to the right corner off an indirect free kick.

In the 37th minute international star Thierry Henry slotted the go ahead goal home past a diving goalie.

Raines soccer coach Michelle Wadsworth brought four of her players to watch the game. "This is definitely good for Jacksonville. We are trying to grow the game here, " Wadsworth said.

The weather was cold and rainy but Wadsworth and her players didn't mind. "Love soccer, doesn't matter if it's raining and cold, at least it's not ice and sleet."

The Union will return next year for another exhibition match.
