JACKSONVILLE -

A last-second Hail Mary attempt fell short as the Jacksonville Sharks lost their first home game to the Portland Thunder, 69-62, at Sea Best Field.

In what was a hectic week for the Sharks with the departure of Aaron Garcia, R.J. Archer got the start at quarterback. Archer completed 17 of his 33 passes for 322 yards and six touchdowns but also threw three interceptions. Jeron Harvey hauled in eight receptions for 151 yards and two touchdowns.

This was the first franchise victory for the Thunder who were 0-5 heading into Saturday's game. The Sharks fall to 2-4 on the season.

Jacksonville hosts the Arizona Rattlers next Saturday at 7 PM.
