Wastewater temporarily closes Southside restaurant

The cook at Sue's Cafe talks about the temporary closure of the restaurant last week until the plumber could fix the problem.
Robert Williams has worked as a cook at the restaurant for more than 13 years -- starting before it changed owners and names.
"We serve hamburgers fries we do breakfast. Our breakfast is really great," says Williams
Last week's inspection got in the way of his cooking when an inspector found seven high priority violations. One violation, that after much consideration forced a temporary closure. The inspector wrote waste water or sewage backed up through the floor drains. Williams said it came from the sink.
"It was the water that was back here from when you run water in the sink. When we washed our hands that particular day, is when it started up because we didn't have any problems before that," says Williams.
That afternoon Williams said they got a plumber in to fix the problem, they were re-inspected and opened back up at 8:15 a.m.
"It pushed a little overboard ,but they were making sure they were protecting the customers, so it was OK," says Williams
Williams says he thinks his loyal customers will understand.
"I think they would understand because we've been serving food for years and years as I saw I was here for 13 years and getting back here to get things going good and we want to correct everything that's not right," says Williams.
