Rain is headed this way... eventually

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Saturday brings significant chances for rain for southeastern Georgia during the day, the same rain heads northeastern Florida's way Saturday evening.

A frontal system is sagging through the Southeast, and is expected to bring rain chances to our area on and off, through Monday.  Rainfall totals will be generally between 1 and 3 inches, with heaviest rainfall along Interstate 75 in southeastern Georgia.

Saturday starts with patchy fog under mostly cloudy skies.  Saturday morning brings rain chances primarily to southeastern Georgia. Expect scattered showers for inland Georgia, and more isolated showers for coastal areas.  After the lunch hour, rain chances increase for coastal southeastern Georgia during the afternoon. Southeastern Georgia will pick up just under an inch of rain Saturday

For Monster Jam, early activities will be dry, but it will be a race to finish and get into your vehicle before the rain starts by the later evening hours.

Rain chances weaken on Sunday, but return in full force overnight Sunday night, lingering into Monday's forecast as well.
