Briefly dry, more rain tonight

Weekend starts off wet

Brief break in the rains during the day, more tonight.

Jacksonville, Fla – Yesterday started off nice enough, albeit, cold.  After highs near 80° Wednesday, we stayed in the 50's as rain rolled in after 2pm.  The rain locked in our cold temperatures.  We will again be seeing a similar pattern for today.

Daybreak rains will fade quickly, with peeks of sunshine after lunch.   Chilly all day you will need a jacket/sweatshirt/sweater.  Forecast models suggest that we will stay dry until after midnight tonight.

Then the rains return and some folks will get a lot. The forecast model I show in the picture suggests that south Georgia, especially along the southeast coast of Georgia may see another 1", maybe more.  In Jacksonville, we will most likely see less than an inch on Saturday morning.

Did you catch that?  Yes, the rains should be outta here by 2pm Saturday, skies should clear out so that Sunday looks very nice!  Still cool, but sunny!

Richard will have the latest on the forecast through out The Morning Show and I will be back with the latest starting at 5pm.
