Southern storms fade after sunset

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Monday afternoon's storms were scattered across the southern areas, from Gainesville to St Augustine for the most part. Isolated storms fired up along I-75 in the afternoon hours, but many counties remained dry as temperatures climbed into the low 90s.and pushed out to the East.

Monday evening, temperatures slowly sink under partly cloudy skies, overnight temperatures get into the low 70s, with calm winds. The afternoon storms fade after sunset.

Tuesday starts out in the mid 70s under partly sunny cloudy.  Expect a quick warm up during the day on Tuesday, with afternoon temperatures hitting the low 90s. Tuesday afternoon's humidity will be formidable. Your "feels like" temperatures will be closer to the mid 90s.

Chances for showers are isolated, with only a 20% chance for showers during the afternoon hours.  Winds will be out of the South during the afternoon hours between 7 and 13 mph.
