Increasing showers and storms to start the week

JACKSONVILLE, FL – A few showers this morning, becoming widespread this evening and late tonight. 

Monday, expect cloudy skies and cooler temperatures.   A 30 percent chance of showers build during the day, mainly anticipated after 2pm. Overcast skies persist, with a high near 63. Expect a breezy afternoon, with a northeast wind 15 to 17 mph.

Tonight, chances of showers and thunderstorms grow, then showers become likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 7pm. Cloudy skies and cool temperatures persist, with a low around 55. Expect calmer winds, out of the north around 8 mph. The area's chance of precipitation is 70% in the evening hours, stretching overnight as well.

Tuesday, expect a 70 percent chance of showers, mainly before 10am. Cloudy skies through the mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 70. Breezy, with a northwest wind 10 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.

Tuesday night  skies clear, with a low around 41. Expect breezy overnight hours, with a northwest wind around 17 mph.
