John Gaughan visits Brookville Elementary

Ms. Williams Math and Science class

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – "Nothing like a nice snowstorm daydream in class."  Yep, that's what we had Thursday, a big snowy daydream.  These young students all want to see snow in Jacksonville, amazingly many of them have already seen snow, but when they were in colder places.

From water vapor (that they see with a cold morning's breath) in freezing cold air which can become ice crystals that grow larger into snowflakes and these stick to each other becoming big snowflakes, they loved all the details.

But when will we see another snowfall here in Jacksonville?  It's been a while...  Like 24 years ago.  Yep, the only known white Christmas here in Jacksonville -- 1989. But after this visit, we are all wishing for another!
