Saturday seabreeze soaker possible this afternoon

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – There are plenty of activities going on around town this weekend including Never Quit Never along with the tax free shopping for hurricane supplies so here's what you need to know before you head out the door:

First, a nice start to your Saturday will turn stormy later on as the seabreeze begins to interact with the very warm surface. Like we've seen the past few days, showers and storms should start building into the forecast around 1 p.m. and lasting through the early evening hours.

While severe weather is not anticipated, any storms that do develop could drop some pea size hail and contain frequent lightning.

These storms will be of the garden variety meaning some people will get hammered while others wind up with nothing more than rumbles of thunder and dark clouds.

For your Sunday, it'll be a near carbon copy of Saturday's weather with morning sunshine and afternoon showers and storms.

Remember, tomorrow is the beginning of the 2014 Atlantic hurricane season. It's important to be prepared and have a plan! Stay tuned to News4Jax.com for the latest on any developing tropical weather that may develop later in the season.
