Warm, sunny weekend forecast

Above average temperatures and light winds

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Expect above average temperatures all weekend long, with afternoon highs headed into the 80's Saturday and upper 70s Sunday.

Saturday started out mild, in the low 60s to low 70s and patchy dense fog.  The fog reduced visibilities in isolated cases as low as a quarter of a mile.  All of the fog cleared between 8:30 am and 9:30 am, leaving partly cloudy skies and toasty warm temperatures.  Average temperatures for this time of the year typically hit the mid to upper 60s for highs, but we won't break our record for today, which is 82°.

Expect sunny skies, light winds out of the SW between 5 and 10mph and no chances for rain.

Saturday night the temperatures fall slowly, the winds die down, and some clouds build, predominantly across Southeast Georgia.  Temperatures reach the mid 50s to low 60s by sunrise Sunday morning, and fog is possible again through 9 am.

Sunday, expect more clouds, especially along and to the North of I-10, along with a 20% chance for a passing shower, especially across Southeast Georgia. The best chances for a shower are before 9:00am.  Light Easterly winds become Southeasterly around 10mph during the afternoon.

Temperature remain toasty through Tuesday, but a mini Nor'Easter develops by Wednesday- expect cloudy skies, breezy, gusty winds, and elevated chances for coastal showers wandering onshore. This lowers temperatures to the 60's during the day and the 40's and 50's overnight.
