The Clay County Sheriff's Office is auctioning off a horse this week to the highest cash bidder.
For the last month, the female horse named Blaze has been living at Clay County Animal Control.
"It is our job to try to find her a good home," the Sheriff's Office said in a news release.
Blaze has three white "stockings," but it is the "blaze" of white on her face that earned her the name from staff, a spokeswoman said.
The auction is set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Animal Control, located at 3984 State Road 16 West.
