Man gets life for killing 70-year-old woman in burglary

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 33-year-old murderer was sentenced Tuesday to mandatory life in prison without parole for his involvement in the killing of a 70-year-old woman.

George Landgraff was convicted last month of first-degree murder and armed burglary with assault or battery.

In July 2009, Lola Faulk's grandson found his grandmother brutally beaten and shot to death inside of her home. Faulk's dog was also found dead on top of her.

The investigation revealed that Landgraff and two co-defendants broke into Faulk's home to commit a burglary. Several items were taken from the home, including a large TV.

In the midst of the burglary, Faulk was shot multiple times and struck with a concrete block.
