People escape house fire in Sans Souci

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

People inside a home in Sans Souci were able to safely get out early Thursday morning after a fire broke out in the garage, according to Jacksonville Fire Rescue.

The home is located on West Nathan Drive, near Beach and University boulevards.

A fireman suffered burns to his wrists. He was treated and released from a hospital.

A woman was rescued from the house.

The State Fire Marshal was responding to the home to investigate the cause of the fire.

The estimated cost of the damage was not immediately available.
