JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Northeast Florida and especially southeast Georgia is in for the second round of wild weather in the past week.
Brought to you by El Niño (warmer than normal equatorial water temperatures), the result is a major shift in world weather patterns. For Jacksonville, we will continue to see rapidly changing weather conditions.

Wet and possibly wild severe weather is expected for Sunday. Heavy rain will fall overnight, then there will be some sunshine, followed by possible severe evening thunderstorms. These storms will not be as widespread as they were last Monday.
The two rainfall forecast maps shown illustrate accumulation over the next 36 hours due the potential for very heavy rainfall, especially for parts of South Georgia.
These steady rains will start sometime after midnight Sunday. The heaviest rainfall should fall between 3 and 10 a.m. Sunday.
Remember, as is always the case, not everyone will see extreme rainfall or severe thunderstorms, but many are likely to be impacted by disruptive, possibly severe weather Sunday.
