Clay County Fire Control investigates house fire in Orange Park area

Fire captain says husband, wife, 3 children at home when fire started

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – Clay County Fire Control was investigating a house fire Saturday afternoon in the Orange Park area off Belmont Boulevard.

The fire captain said a husband, wife and three children were at the home when the fire started for unknown reasons.

"At 10:30 this morning, we got a call about a fire at a residential structure," said Captain Jason Boree. "All occupants were out of the structure on our arrival."

Boree said it's unknown if the house is a complete loss.

"At this time it is an ongoing investigation, and no occupants or firefighters were injured as a result," said Boree.

The American Red Cross contacted the family and helped them Saturday night.
